The Houston Dash acquired two-time NWSL champion forward Yazmeen Ryan from NJ/NY Gotham FC on Friday.The Dash also received $80,000 in intra-league transfer funds for 2025 in exchange for $400,000 in allocation money and a 2025 international roster slot.

Two-time NWSL champion and U.S. women’s national team midfielder Yazmeen Ryan has been traded from NJ/NY Gotham FC to the Houston Dash for a historic fee, according to multiple reports. Gotham FC told The Athletic that Ryan requested the trade and that the team “worked tirelessly to honor her request.”

Yazmeen Ryan joins Houston Dash in their rebuilding process and a high expectation phase, so her experience plus the ability to adapt into various styles of play will position her to help the Dash take a leap forward.

Ryan, who's had another breakout season that caught the attention of the USWNT, has been traded for a reported fee of $400,000.
