A police manhunt is underway after a 14-year-old schoolboy was stabbed to death on a bus in southeast London. The teenager was treated at the scene in Woolwich but died soon after medics arrived, the Met Police said.

Aspiring rapper Kelyan Bokassa was fatally injured on a route 472 bus in Woolwich Church Street, near Woolwich Ferry, just before 2.30pm on Tuesday. On Wednesday evening, around 40 mourners, including friends of the victim, gathered at a vigil held at St Mary Magdalene Church, which overlooks the bus stop where Kelyan died.

The teenager was pronounced dead shortly after being attacked as he travelled on a 472 double-decker bus on Woolwich Church Street at about 14:30 GMT on Tuesday. No arrests have been made, and crime scene cordons and some road closures remain in place.
