Kevin Love announced his father, former NBA player Stan Love, had died before Game 4 between the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Ex-teammates Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson shared a tender moment Monday night after Love’s father, Stan, died Sunday at the age of 76. The two members of the Cavaliers’ 2016 championship team hugged before the Cavaliers’ 138-83 road win over the Heat in Game 4 to secure the sweep.

Stan Love played four seasons in the NBA from 1971-75. He was drafted ninth overall by the Baltimore Bullets (now the Washington Wizards) in the 1971 NBA Draft and also spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.
