Emmy Award-winning journalist Tony Dokoupil has been named anchor of the "CBS Evening News," the network announced Wednesday.

The Farmington-born Dokoupil will leave “CBS Mornings” to lead the network’s flagship nightly newscast beginning Jan. 5.
