The Washington, D.C., event honored the 67 victims of the Jan. 29 crash, including six from the Skating Club of Boston.

An emotional tribute on the ice was held Sunday as figure skaters from the Skating Club of Boston honored the lives and legacies of the victims killed in the mid-air collision over Washington, D.C.Dozens of the top ice skaters in the country,

At the end of his figure skating performance, when the last note of his parents’ favorite song played in an arena packed with spectators and heavy with sorrow, Maxim Naumov dropped to his knees at the center of the ice. He remained there for what seemed like forever, awash in a spotlight, looking lost and sobbing.

Doug Lane's wife, Christine, and their 16-year-old son, Spencer, were among those who died in the crash. Spencer was one of six members of the Skating Club of Boston aboard the plane.

Among those lending star power to the tribute/fundraiser are 1988 Olympic champion Brian Boitano and 1992 Olympic champion Kristi Yamaguchi.

Twenty-eight members of the figure skating community were among the 67 people killed in the Jan. 29 collision and crash.
