The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission on Thursday said it had revoked the licenses of nine Houston-area bars following a series of human trafficking-related raids across Harris County last weekend.

Officials said that nine Houston bars and nightclubs have been shut down as a result of “Operation Bad Traffic,” which involved TABC and the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance.

The Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance Task Force (HTRA) brings together law enforcement and non-governmental agencies and organizations to combat human trafficking in the Greater Houston Metro area.
