Storms across both the Western and Southern United States threaten to disrupt flights as millions of holiday travelers prepare to close out the year.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing winter tornadoes in three states prompted warnings in the Gulf Coast.

A stormy day in Texas escalated quickly on Thursday afternoon with the formation of quick-moving tornados in and near Southeast Texas. Observers near El Campo, Texas captured video of one tornado touching down outside of town on Thursday.
