The San Antonio Spurs reportedly extended the contract of De'Aaron Fox on Monday and will now prepare to potentially hand Victor Wembanyama a new long-term deal next offseason.

On Monday, the San Antonio Spurs and star point guard De'Aaron Fox agreed to a four-year, $229 million maximum extension. After the Spurs traded Tre Jones, Zach Collins, Sidy Cissoko, and three first-round picks for Fox,

Fox was acquired at the 2025 trade deadline to give San Antonio a legit franchise point guard to pair alongside Victor Wembanyama. Fox will turn 28 years old next season, and this contract will keep him with the Spurs until age 32. He was an all-star with the Kings just a couple of seasons ago in 2022-23.
