The man accused of shooting and killing a rival YouTuber and that man’s wife in a video streamed live from the Las Vegas Strip pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Monday.
The report indicated Ruiz and Rodney Finley had a previous altercation, on Fremont Street, which led to Ruiz receiving a battery citation. Police said Ruiz had a Thursday court date on the citation.
Manny Ruiz and Rodney Finley both ran YouTube channels in the Las Vegas area, according to the police report. They had a feud with each other that dated back to October 2023, the report said.
Rodney Finley, 44, went by “Finny Da Legend” and had over 6,000 subscribers. His wife was often in his videos with him. “He just started the page and it just blew up.
The married victims were identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Tanisha Finley, 43, and Rodney Finley, 44. Both died of multiple gunshot wounds.
