Timonium resident Drew Osmeyer made history in his first year competing at the White Marlin Open in Ocean City, reeling in a massive blue marlin that netted him a $1.2 million payday.

95 pounds, reeled in by angler Tommy Farella of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on board the Mama C out of Virginia Beach, Va. $111,529.04 49.5 pounds, reeled in by angler Chris Jones of Pottstown, Pa., on board the Shooting Star out of Indian River. $74,145.00

The White Marlin Open has once again reeled in thousands of anglers, spectators and celebrities. Along with them came an expected wave of economic activity for Ocean City.
