When President Donald Trump reopened a long-closed conversation about the name of the Washington NFL team, he and others implied that liberal thinking forced the venerable franchise to change its name from Redskins to Commanders in 2022.
"I may put a restriction on them that if they don't change the name back to the original ‘Washington Redskins,' and get rid of the ridiculous moniker, ‘Washington Commanders,'" the president said.
Despite the many national and international challenges he faces, President Donald Trump on Sunday let the world know he had something else on his mind: the name of Washington’s NFL team.
