As more companies bring in more agents, Microsoft is hoping its new observability platform Agent 365 makes the process easier.

Microsoft is adding even more AI features to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. While the software maker has been adding plenty of features to its paid Microsoft 365 Copilot over the past year, a range of free additions are coming to its Office apps in early 2026 that don’t require the $30 per month, per the user Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

Windows 11 now includes powerful AI tools like Copilot Vision and hands-free voice activation, enabling automated tasks, screen awareness, and faster workflows across the entire operating system.

Microsoft has been increasingly embracing Anthropic’s models across its Copilot services. In fact, Microsoft has been favoring Anthropic’s Claude 4 over GPT-5 in its new auto AI model selector in Visual Studio Code. Microsoft also brought Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4 and Claude Opus 4.1 to Microsoft 365 Copilot users recently.
