Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh has been added as a defendant in a lawsuit involving one of his former assistants at Michigan, Matt Weiss. The suit claims Harbaugh and other university officials looked the other way after learning that Weiss had been spotted hacking sensitive information ahead of the Wolverines' College Football Playoff appearance in December 2022,

The criminal hacking case against former Michigan assistant Matt Weiss has sparked civil litigation. That civil litigation has now ensnared his former boss. Via the Associated Press, former Michigan coach (and current Chargers coach) Jim Harbaugh was added to a lawsuit on Friday arising from the Weiss hacking scandal.

Matthew Weiss, currently under an FBI indictment, changed his legal representation for the federal case involving his alleged photo hacking.
