Former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was among those fired on NFL Black Monday. Where could he land his next job?
As Kevin Stefanski interviews with the New York Giants, an uncomfortable question looms over the Browns organization: Did Cleveland just fire a coach who will lead another team to a Super Bowl before the Browns get there themselves?
Stefanski is responsible for two of the three playoff appearances for the 1999-and-beyond iteration of the Cleveland Browns
Despite just being fired on Monday morning, former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has already lined up three job interviews around the league
With Stefanski out the door in Cleveland now, another interesting report has surfaced regarding the former head coach and his stance against the infamous Deshaun Watson trade from 2022. CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco is reporting that “From what I was told, he didn't want that trade made.”
The Browns signed Watson to a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract in March 2022 and he has only made 19 starts since, a result of NFL suspension and several injuries. Given his contract, Watson is not a tradable asset in Cleveland and won't be off the books until 2030.
On Monday, Dart shared his feelings about Stefanski, who was recently fired by the Browns after a 5-12 campaign and was immediately contacted by the Giants. Dart had nothing but praise for Stefanski, whom the young QB met during the draft process.
