The finale of the beloved BBC sitcom revealed that Smithy stayed with Sonia after the 2019 special, but more shocking than that (for viewers and the characters) was finding out that Gwen had a new boyfriend: Dave Coaches!

Gavin and Stacey came to its emotional end with a feature-length finale on Christmas night. Seventeen years after the much-loved BBC comedy arrived on our screens, its climax was the most eagerly anticipated 90 minutes of the festive schedules.

However, during the moving monologue, fans noticed a major continuity error. In the scene, Mick stands up with a full pint in his hand while addressing their group. But, in the middle of the speech, the drink suddenly appears to be half-full before returning back to full again.
