Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo is criticizing New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani for living in a rent-stabilized apartment. The independent mayoral candidate says if elected, he would propose what he's calling "Zohran's Law" to block higher income New Yorkers from living in rent-stabilized units.

The former governor’s post, written on X on Friday, reflected how he has adopted a stance of more aggressive, personal jabs.

“Somewhere last night in New York City, a single mother and her children slept at a homeless shelter because you, assemblyman @ZohranKMamdani are occupying her rent controlled apartment,” Cuomo said in the lengthy post.
