UNC is officially moving into a new era, as the school hired Bill Belichick as the Tar Heels' next head coach earlier this month.

If the Tar Heels have an annual 2.7 GPA, Belichick gets $50,000. If UNC’s NCAA Academic Progress Rate is between 950-969, that brings $100,000 into play. Belichick’s contract also includes a $100,000 expense account.

In Chapel Hill the past week, talk has been mostly about hiring Bill Belichick and whether his hiring by UNC is good for the university.
