Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg expects to deliver “personal superintelligence for everyone” but his ambitious bets on AI are impacting the company’s cash flows and are likely to hit expenses even harder as Meta soups up its AI capabilities and continues its hiring spree .

Meta now reaches nearly 3.5 billion users across Facebook, Instagram and other apps. And Mark Zuckerberg says the company’s mission is to bring AI “personal superintelligence” to all of them. The company reported second-quarter 2025 earnings that topped Wall Street expectations.

Meta posted nice numbers for the June quarter with revenue surging 22% to $47.5 billion and net income up 36% to $18.3 billion. Earnings per share of $7.14 was also beat Wall Street's expectations, as did daily active users rose to 3.
