India's aviation regulator has ordered all Boeing 787s being operated by local carriers to be inspected after an Air India crash killed 270 people this week, the aviation minister said on Saturday, adding the authorities were investigating all possible causes.

Air India clarified that the ₹25 lakh compensation is in addition to the ₹1 crore support already announced by Tata Sons.

Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson, in a video message, announced that the airline will provide an interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent crash,
